With
the backdrop of Shakespeare’s birthplace and with the annual Christmas markets serving up festive
sights and smells, this really is a town that could give Scrooge second thoughts…..
It’s Stratford’s biggest Christmas ever and this year will see the town come alive with Christmas
markets, carol singers, the delicious smells of roasted chestnuts and hot chocolate laced with brandy.
The markets
sell a mixture of arts and crafts, gifts and locally produced food and drink. Tickle your taste buds as
coffee shops and café’s across town serve scrumptious treats that provide a touch of Christmas on your tongue.
With
the arrival of Father Christmas on November 17th, followed by the Christmas lights going on across town the following
Thursday Afternoon and the arrival of Ebenezer Scrooge for a week in his very own grotto on December 27th, there’s
over a month of seasonal events to choose from.
