Booking Conditions & Age Requirements

Please ensure that you have read and understood our terms and conditions of business.  Your contract is with Seek The Magic Org (STMO).  When you make a booking with us, you are deemed to have accepted the following:

1. We do not accept single sex bookings over groups of four for any of our evening events (with the exception of our children's parties) unless discussed and agreed with us by telephone before hand.

2. The minimum age to attend STMO attractions and events is as follows:
    The Museum of Wizardology - Children under 6 may find the experience too atmospheric. Please remember there is no pushchair access through the museum. 
    Magic Alley - no restriction
    Santa Claus - no restriction
    The Golden Broomstick - no restriction 
    A Night at Magic School - 6 years old 
    The Victorian Imagiscarium - 15 years old
    Teen Ghost Hunts - 15 years old (with parent/guardian permission)
    Ghost Hunting Experiences - 18 years old
    Other Themed Events - 18 years old or as advertised.


3. Our building may not be suitable for customers with disabilities or claustrophobia. Please contact us on 01789 290969 if you require additional information about the venue.  If the event is taking place outside the building or in another location, these terms and conditions still apply.  Please note that some buildings we use may not be suitable for those with mobility issues - if in doubt, please check by calling us on 0844 824 8600.

4. If you are pregnant or you suspect you might be please do not book any of our events. Pregnant women attend at their own risk.

5. If anyone arrives under the influence of alcohol or drugs and/or is suspected of bringing alcoholic drinks to the event, they will be asked to leave the premises and'or event immediately. In this instance, no refund wil be given.

6. STMO (the company) are not liable for any loss or damage to any equipment or belongings brought to any of our events by customers. All luggage, clothing, equipment, vehicles and effects belonging to you or your party are your own responsibility. STMO are not responsible for the safe custody of attendees property, for its loss, damage or theft.

7. By agreeing to these terms and conditions you further indemnify STMO,  the organisers/promoters from and against all legal liability in respect of any costs, claims, damages, demands, penalties, actions, proceedings, suits, losses or expenses in respect of or arising out of the injury to or the death of any person, or damage to any property arising from my participation in the activity.

8. Occasionally, events are cancelled or postponed by us due to weather conditions or situations out of our control. When this occurs, we will make every effort to ensure you receive a prompt refund of payment. If the event is moved or rescheduled, we may set refund limitations. Any expenses including travel incurred due to the cancellation of an event will not be refunded.

9. You agree that any and all services from STMO are for entertainment purposes only. We make no guarantees regarding the validity, truth, or likelihood of any and all information obtained from our employees, contractors, psychics, mediums and clairvoyants on any of our events. Our consultants are professional consultants; however, any and all statements made utilising our consultants are the sole opinion of the individual consultant and do not reflect the opinions or policies, stated or otherwise, of STMO. No perceived predictions, opinions, information, advice or comments made by our employees, contractors, psychics, mediums or clairvoyants should be interpreted as factual or actual.

You, the Customer, are responsible for making your own decisions and it is understood that when our employees, contractors, psychics, mediums and clairvoyants suggest something to you, it is an opinion of the consultant, and should NOT be interpreted as the only course of action.

10. Where events run overnight orfinish late, we suggest you either secure further accommodation for the following night or book transport home due to tiredness caused by the event. We do not accept any responsibility for any accidents or incidents caused after the event. Tiredness kills.

11. Throughout the event you and your party will act in a sensible manner and will not cause harm or injury to anyone or anything else.

12. We cannot guarantee that paranormal activity will take place on the occasion you visit, but so far to date, our ghosts haven't disappointed. Activities listed for events are subject to change without prior notice.

13. These conditions and any contract into which they are incorporated shall be subject to English Law and the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England.

14. STMO is the trademark of STMO Media Group.  The Gothic Ghost Hunt Company, Black Letter Days, The Museum of Wizardology, Magic Alley, The Creaky Cauldron and the Victorian imagiscarium are all trading styles of STMO MEdia Group.  All events must be paid for in full prior to the event. We do not accept cheque payments.

15. If a buffet is provided as part of the event and you, or any of your party, have food intolerances you must inform us a minimum of seven days before the event.  We will do our utmost to ensure that the catering company can meet any requirements but we cannot guarantee this if little prior notice is given.

16. If invitations are being issued either for a bespoke event or a children's party - you must inform us of any name changes at least 24 hours prior to the event taking place or we cannot guarantee that attendees with different names to the ones previously notified will receive their personalised invitations/goodie bags.
