Stratford’s Annual Halloween Festival is even
spookier than before. Now in its ninth year, Stratford’s longest festival will once again take place centred around
the award winning Creaky Cauldron and Magic Alley in Henley Street from 1 October - 31 October. Taking visitors
on a “phantasm” - agorical journey through the extremely weird world of the Victorian Halloween Imagiscarium,
the festival is an absolute must for those interested in ghosts, ghouls and everything that goes bump in the night!
the festival is packed with child friendly activities including the world famous Hall of the Pumpkin Father at
the Haunted Manor, late night Screenings at the Stratford Picture House, ghost stories and
ghost walks around Stratford with Stratford Town Walks as well as some spook-tacular competitions.
Pumpkin Father will once again be taking up residence in the world famous Hall of the Pumpkin Father where you can try your
hand at traditional Trick or Treating: make him laugh to get a treat, but beware, be unsuccessful and get a terrible fright…
The Golden Broomstick Café will once again be serving up a range of special Halloween delicacies including Toffee Apple and Spiced
Pumpkin Milkshakes, Original Recipe Butter Beer, Pumpkin Pie and lots of other ghoulish delights.
can look forward to a range of far more scary events after the lights go out at night. The Dark Arts Theatre Company
will be presenting The Suspicions Of The Anomalous Mr Gibbs at the Magic Alley Theatre
and Tread the Boards will be presenting The Hound Of The Baskervilles at the Attic Theatre.
Overnight Ghost Hunts will be taking place at the Creaky Cauldron, Stratford’s most haunted building,
and there are ghost walks ghoul-ore!
This year, the Stratford Halloween Festival has also issued a challenge to four local
businesses to spend an evening in the company of the Black Letter Days team in the only remaining part of
the infamous White Lion Inn (now the Creaky Cauldron) to see just how brave they really are!
This years sponsors include: Black Letter Days; Samhain Publishing;
Evridor Publicity; The World of Wizard's Thatch; The Golden Broomstick Café & Not Just Shakespeare.
