The History

The Wiccan Institute was initially mooted as an idea in the summer of 1992, but was formally founded in 1995 when The Real Magic Spell Company first opened it's offices to the public in South East London for the first time. Its courses emphasise the spiritual and magical practices of the Old Religion, solid magical technique, living the Wiccan religion of love and worship, and the power and poetry of the Craft.

Classes consist of lecture, ritual, and discussion. Weekly ritual practices are assigned. Because students learn tools for inner change, the work can be vigorous and deeply moving.

We are committed to the safe emotional and psychic practices. To these ends registration is usually limited, so that groups are small and personal. Solitary practitioners who usually avoid groups will find the classes a safe and supportive learning environment.

Areas of study include (but are not limited to): magical techniques; energy perception & manipulation; the poetry of magic & physics; psychic protection; ritual format; manifestation of material goals; urban shamanism; applied theology & myth; strengthening relationship to Deity; alignment of Godself, conscious mind, and unconscious; rituals for personal cleansing & inner transformation. Students also enjoy experienced guidance to make spiritual training relevant to their present lives & strengthen the God(dess) within.

Courses take place at the Creaky Cauldron or in other venues and include light refreshments.Please check the Diary or contact us for current course information.
