Welcome to
the Dark Arts Theatre Company creators of
Stratford's original Theatre Of Fear at the Victorian Imagiscarium!
Many companies offer scare tours, ghost tours and extreme scare attractions based on shock,
gore, horror and special effects - and that's fine, but if that's what you're after then you're in the wrong
place. We don't run after you with chainsaws, pop up out of nowhere and go "Boo!" nor do we rely on fanciful
costumes and supposed hauntings and ghost tours. What we do is different. Real stories and twisted tales told by
real people that really will make your hair curl.........
The Dark Arts Theatre Company was founded in 1998 to
provide a good old fashioned storytelling service that would leave you absolutely terrified! For 13 years we have been producing
our terrifying tales and presenting them in the spookiest of settings from derelict castles and tithe barns, to manor houses
and stately homes. Now we specialise in providing the most terrifying of experiences at the Victorian Imagiscarium in
Stratford upon Avon.

Aaaah, Shakespeare! The Bard of Avon.
We all know so much about him...but how much do we really know? With 38 plays and over 150 sonnets it's
no wonder that we sometimes forget things we really shouldn't. So, what if the complete works of the world's
greatest playwright, as we know them today, are
in fact so twisted from the original stories that they are barely recognisable?
This year, for the first time ever, the Dark Arts Theatre Company present the complete works in their truly terrifying
original glory - where Romeo isn't a lovestruck teenager but a manic stalker with anger leaving him teetering on the brink
of sanity; where Prospero was a power crazed madman intent on world enslavement; Hamlet was a cuckolded fool and Falstaff
a twisted psychopath.
Join us for a truly scary experience this year as we present "Twisted Shakespeare -
the terrifying tales" at Warwickshire's premier scare attraction and original Theatre of Fear - the Victorian Imagiscarium.......

"The Stratford Ripper Experience"
On the ninth
of November in 1788, a particularly gruesome crime took place in the dark streets and alleyways of old Startford town....
A woman was brutally attacked and murdered whilst about her everyday business.
One hundred years later a tragic
accident happened in the same spot. Coincidence, or maybe something more sinister?
